Spring lawn care postcard design idea.
If you want to bring in more work, you need to incentivize your employees to look for work. You can employee this method yourself as well, if you are a sole proprietor. The idea is to keep on the look out for lawn care work and extra upsells that could be used. Whether this be in your customer’s property or on a neighbors. Keep looking for properties that could use your services and then reach out and make contact with those potential lawn care customer. Here is marketing method one entrepreneur uses that he shared with us on the Gopher Lawn Care Business Forum.
One lawn care business owner wrote “this is a new lawn care postcard design I made up. I will be using it in addition to other post cards we already use and I am hoping this will be an ice breaker for staff on clients sites.
I find people are attracted to things that are eye catchy, a bit humorous but not to comical, I think there is a fine line there somewhere.
Anyhow I ordered 500 of these to see if they work, this is front and back.
This is the ice breaker card concept and it’s a new policy I am experimenting with. If an employee is at a location and see a property we are not currently servicing but could use our help, the first thing they do is look around the property quickly. If they see something that could use our assistance, they are to put the card in the door.
If the client hears you working nearby and comes out and sees the card, you can explain why you left it. Point out issues to the potential customer, tell them how our company could resolve them. If the client sees the card later and calls, I will handle the sale of it, however the lawn care employee needs to let me know why they left it and where. This also helps me track sales from referrals and award the specific employee who took the initiative to hand out the post card.
Each week, the employee with the most referrals and sales $$$ wise will receive a $150.00 certificate to their favorite restaurant or bar.
The intention is to not only to get the business but to teach them another skill and have fun doing it.”
