Sometimes the difference between success and failure can be so slight we just don’t know when we are close to that line. Many times entrepreneurs can walk within inches of success but give up before crossing over. Recently one of the Gopher Lawn Care Business Forum members got on and posted on how he was having a great day. We are lucky enough that he shared with us what he has been doing to improve the awareness of his lawn care business. Taking the small steps here and there as he has can potentially take your lawn care business onto a successful path.

Atract more Lawn Care Customers
He wrote “I had a great day!
I did 3 small lawns, gave 10 estimates and got 4 of them. When I got home, I had 10 phone calls to return and 11 emails replys for Free Estimates from my website (not counting the duplicates).
A happy vent for a change.”
That is fantastic news! What kinds of things have you been doing with your lawn care business to see such a positive response to your business?
“I added a blog to my lawn care business website to improve my search engine ranking. I now hold Google positions 1-5 for lawn care service in my area.
I am the only lawn care company that is licensed and insured in my area.
I made a deal with the local ACE Hardware. I buy my supplies from them (that they carry), rent my equipment when needed, and they display my lawn care fliers in their store.
When canvasing neighborhoods I leave a magnet ad. I either hand it to them or if no one’s home I stick it on their metal door if they have one or on the doorknob it they don’t. Flyers they just throw away, but the magnet goes on their refrigerator.”
