Take part in your local parades to promote your lawn care business.

Most communities have local parades. Why not do what Rich did and take your mower out and pull a small trailer of wagon to promote your lawn care business.

Rich posted these photos of his parade pictures on the Gopher Forum.

When I asked him about being in the parade he said:

“Being in the parade has help my business because a lot of people that would be working when I’m mowing are at the parade and see my business first hand.

A lot of the other lawn care owners put their equipment in the parade and I thought it would be a good idea. My uncle made a wagon like mine to pull behind his tractor as well. We throw about 10 gallon worth of candy during the parade.”

I think taking part in a parade makes a difference and it builds up awareness. If you want to take it one step further you could even dress up for the kids as a clown with face paint and hair and all that. Could you get your staff to also dress up as clowns too? Could they walk besides you and hand out candy? You could even attach your business cards to the candies.

Another idea is you could hand out small flags with your business card attached to them.

Remember these are magical times for a kid and will make a lasting impression on them and their parents.
